QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
FAQ:
1. Do you guarantee that we will catch fish?
I do not guarantee that every trip will produce fish or a trophy size fish. I am an experienced guide & fisherman but sometime the fish just won't co-operate. I do, however, guarantee you that I will work most diligently and give my customers a 100% effort! I want my customers to be satisfied!
2. What determines the actual fishing time of a trip?
A 6 hour trip is from the time we leave the boat ramp until we return. I may include some extra time if the fishing is slow.
3. What time of day do the trips usually begin?
During the warm months, I like to be on the water at daylight. In the colder months I usually wait until after sunrise. These times are not only the most comfortable, but I have found them to be the most productive.
4. What do you furnish?
I furnish everything except your food, drinks, and license. Your personal rain gear might be needed if weather threatens. I use some of the best catfish tackle available. I also use fresh bait.
5. What license do I need?
A Tennessee or Arkansas license is needed for the section of river we will fish. The TN non-resident 3 day permit is $10.50 and can be purchased at bait shops, sporting goods stores, Walmart or Kmart. Also, by calling 1-888-814-8972, (TWRA), you can order your license, but there will be a $3.95 agent fee. Check out TWRA on the links page of this web site.
6. Where are you located?
I fish the Mississippi River at Memphis, TN. Trips will be on a section of the river from upstream to downstream from downtown Memphis.
7. How many people can you accommodate?
Three people is the maximum. Also, for a safe trip, those 3 people should weigh no more than a total of 750 lbs.
8. Can I bring my young child?
I will alter a trip to accommodate a young child. I recommend fishing with lighter tackle and smaller fish for children under 10 years of age. However, a life jacket that fits the child & full responsibility of the child is that of the customer.
